More about Me:

I have photographed weddings throughout the Southeastern United States and do not limit where I will travel to photograph a wedding. I am a hopeless romantic, and enjoy seeing the love between bride and groom, as well as documenting their love through photographs.

I continue attend seminars, workshops, and take part in other educational resources to make sure that I stay on top of current wedding photography standards. I am constantly learning as well as bettering my skills in order to provide YOU with the best product!

On a personal note, I love photography (of course), have a weakness for Siamese cats (I has 3 of them), and an even greater weakness for cheesecake. My favorite movies are The Princess Bride and Under the Tuscan Sun. My favorite book is Wuthering Heights.

Family Portrait Month and Operation Smile

Categories: portraits , specials

I have decided to to benefit a very appealing charity by participating in Family Portrait Month, a national promotion during the month of October that allows photographers and families to raise money for children in need of smiles.  And, even though this is titled “Family Portrait Month,” I am not limiting portraits to just families.  All portraits will qualify for this promotion during the month of October - engagement sessions, individual portraits, boudoir sessions, modeling sessions, etc.

In 2005, PPA Charities Trustees invited Operation Smile to become its Charitable Partner. As such, Operation Smile, a highly respected worldwide organization, became the recipient of all contributions (made by PPA-member studios throughout the country) during PPA Charities’ annual Family Portrait Month charitable marketing promotion.

Every donation to Operation Smile makes it possible for another surgery to be performed by Operation Smile’s volunteers.

To date, PPA Charities’ donations to Operation Smile have totaled nearly $115,000. That translates into hundreds of operations made possible because photographers did what they do best: create images for families to treasure.

Think of all the smiles these portraits made possible—in your hometown and throughout the world—and you’ll know how important your efforts are!

During Family Portrait Month — October 2008 — we’ll donate $50 of your session fee (50%) to PPA Charities to benefit Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Celebrate your family by helping a child! Call now. Appointments limited! Family Portrait Month is sponsored by PPA Charities.

In addition, we are offering YOU your choice of special ofer for this promotion.  You can choose one of the following:

  1. FREE 8×10 portrait
  2. A free gift-size portrait for each child in the portrait — with a single wall portrait purchase.
  3. 2 free gift-size portraits (great for grandparents!) with the purchase of a single wall portrait!
  4. 12 free holiday cards — featuring your family portrait — with the purchase of a single wall portrait or
    gift-portrait collection!
  5. $50 credit toward product purchase

Min & Matt

Categories: photography , weddings

Min and Matt just arrived back in the United States after living in England for the last several years.  They were getting married here in Jacksonville before they moved to Massachusetts to teach at the University.  Their ceremony was held at Ribault Monument and we did some additional photos at Fort Caroline National Memorial.  The view at Ribault Monument is extraordinary - but Min’s dress was what caught my eye!

Julie & Matt

Categories: Uncategorized

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Julie & Matt yesterday!  I met Julie at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach.  She and her bridesmaids then went to the church to finish getting ready.

Julie’s fraternal twin sister, Emily, make sure the Bride’s makeup was nothing short of perfection!

Julie was an absolutely gorgeous bride who carried herself with class!

It was quite obvious that Julie & Matt were not only in love with each other…but enjoyed each other completely.

Amy & John

Categories: photography , weddings

Amy & John were married in the middle of June in an historic area of Jacksonville.

The location of the ceremony and receptions was just gorgeous because of the old building.

Amy’s dress was not the traditional white…but a beautiful green, which looked absolutely stunning next to the red drapes.

Mother and daughter…

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…and a silver sixpence in her shoe.

Jessica & David

Jessica & Davis had their wedding on June 1st at Hanna Park.  Beach weddings are wonderful…if the weather cooperates.

And then the storm rolled in…the beach was evacuated…and the party moved inside…

Let’s do some shopping!

Michaela & Ryan

Categories: weddings

Michaela & Ryan’s wedding was absolutely nothing less than gorgeous.  The church was amazing, the family was fun, and the reception was a blast.

Ryan is in the military and had just come back to the US shortly before the wedding, only to have to leave again shortly after the wedding.

The wedding party headed to the Avenues Mall to have their makeup done at the Mac store.

Michaela’s mother was absolutely hilarious.  She was fun and has an awesome personality.

Michaela arrived at the church and began striking a pose right away!

Her shoes were stunning.

The Bridesmaids….

And, one of the Flower girls fell asleep during the ceremony.  The Father of the Bride had to wake her up so she could participate at the altar.

Man & Wife…

The beautiful bride….

And off to the reception…

And a special treat from the Bride to the Groom…

Michaela & Ryan….coming soon!
